Incat Crowther announces the recently launched 22m Catamaran Ferry, MV Inside Passage for West Coast Launch Ltd. The vessel will operate wilderness excursions from Prince Rupert in British Columbia for 100 passengers at 23 knots.

22.0m Catamaran Ferry for Prince Rupert on Canada’s West Coast
Incat Crowther are pleased to announce the delivery of a 22m Catamaran Ferry for British Columbian operator, West Coast Launch Ltd. The MV Inside Passage was delivered by Canadian boat builder Sylte Shipyards in early August, 2007 and was put straight into service running wilderness cruises from Prince Rupert.
The vessel is a 22.0m high speed catamaran ferry carrying 100 passengers at a service speed of 23 knots fully loaded. The main cabin, furnished with Beurteaux Contour and Lounge seating, accommodates 80 passengers in an open, bright environment. The main aft deck features 2 toilet spaces, 1 storage spaces and the staircase leading to the next deck. On the Upper Deck there is further Beurteaux seating for 24 in the cabin and 20 Beurteaux Outdoor seats on the upper aft deck. The vessel provides excellent viewing opportunities on all decks and even includes a flying bridge allowing passengers to take in the impressive scenery that the British Columbian coastline has to offer.
Powered by twin Cummins QSK19M’s each producing 800HP the vessel will have a service speed of 23 knots at full load.
The vessel as built locally within British Columbia by the long established Sylte Shipyard. This was the first aluminium catamaran built by the yard, well known for building high class aluminium sailing yachts.
West Coast Launch Ltd is the parent company of Prince Rupert Adventure Tours who operate local wildlife tours spotting bears, whales, seals and eagles. They have been operating year round since 1988 out of their Prince Rupert base. The company expanded in 1997 to service Shipping Agents, Pacific Pilotage Authority, BC Ferries, Prince Rupert Airport Society and the local School District. West Coast Launch has become very diversified in its business with both commercial and tourism ventures.
