P & O cruise ship departs after repairs
A P & O cruise ship that was forced to dock in Malaysia for urgent repairs has now departed again for the final leg of its seven day journey.
The Pacific Sky had problems with one of its engines after leaving Singapore on Saturday night and became stranded in the Malacca Straits.
The ship docked in the Port of Kelang for repairs yesterday and is now on its way to Penang.
P & O says the 1,500 passengers will be given $350 in compensation because the cruise missed calls to two ports.
A spokeswoman for the ocean liner says the ship will receive permanent repairs when it arrives back in Singapore on Saturday morning.

Cruise ship passengers consider class action
Some passengers on a P & O cruise ship experiencing mechanical problems are considering a class action against the shipping line.
The Pacific Sky travelling to Singapore became stranded in the Malacca Straights because of engine problems.
The ship, which has undergone some repairs, is now on its way to Penang, but will bypass two ports because of lost time.
Cruise passenger Jeff Storer says many people wanted to stop at the ports and they are angry with how P and O has handled the situation.
"A few passengers on the ship got a petition together and started walking around and getting people to sign it because they do want to take a class action on this and get something sorted because this isn't the first time the ship has broken down," he said.
"On the last two occasions, they were either compensated for half of their cruise money up front and on the second occasion when it broke down outside of Brisbane, they were actually refunded the entire trip."
P and O says the 1,500 passengers will be given $350 in compensation.
